The picture above is of the Argyle St bridge (also known as the "Heilanman's Umbrella" since neds from the highlands would once come to Glasgow looking for work and shelter from the rain under here). Truly an awful place. If you decide to venture under this bridge you will come across a few people sitting on the street with a sign saying something along the lines of "Homeless and Hungry...". There's no serious aggressive begging going on here but it's still a nasty place to be, if only because of the urine smell. You can also enter the Glasgow Central Low Level trains from here, another truly awful place. It seems like no attempt has been made for a number of years (approx 1972 by the look of it) to make the low level station bareable to the public. Actually, I highly recommend taking a trip under this bridge then down to the low level trains because, well, it's almost exactly like the London Dungeons except it's free.
