The St Enoch centre. You know, I've actually heard this place described as "a beautiful building". I'm serious, I read that somewhere. Anyway, the centre itself isn't so bad but for some reason it does seem to attract many hundreds of common neds. They hang around at the front end of the centre and sit on the steps leading to the main door (there seems to be a lot of young girls with prams on those steps too). This side of the center is reasonably ok and the neds don't cause too much trouble, just the odd bit of shop lifting but then how is a ned meant to get by these days on just a giro, disability benefit, child support, housing benefit, free holiday to centre parcs...When you stray to the other side of the St Enoch centre you will be astonished at the change in atmosphere from quite threatening to very threatening. I don't recommend going to the back end of the St Enoch centre. There's only a car park and the odd mugger anyway and maybe a prostitute or two. Oh, and a big Argos.
"I went to the St Enoch centre on day and was astounded at the number of prams on the steps" - John, Edinburgh.
